* Northwest Academy for the Healing Arts School in West Seattle, run by Sean Miller has recently put together some new programs for displaced workers he wanted us to know about.

  1. Individuals who have been laid off due to current economic conditions can receive a 60 minute massage in our student clinic for only $15.00.  That’s $20.00 off regular price!!
  2. Our displaced worker scholarship program will provide a full scholarship in the amount of $8700.00 toward their massage school tuition at Northwest Academy. We have allocated for 20% of our students to receive full scholarships under this program.
  3. We will donate 10% of all profits earned from our student clinic to the West Seattle Food Bank.

  4. Dear Lords and Ladies:
    You are welcome to come in for our free classes on Thursday nights from 6 to 8 pm at Seattle Yarn, 5633 California Ave SW. We offer knitting, crochet, needlecrafts and some good times. If you’ve wanted to learn a craft, why not now when you have time to devote to it. Since we’re open late anyway we feel this is a great way to introduce you to something you may have been curious about.
    We’re happy to share our knowledge with the community because we believe we should all help each other.
